He was a farm boy from Bartlett, Williamson County, Texas. Even though

his remains were not recovered, there is a headstone for him at the

Bartlett Cemetery along with many other family members who are buried there. My dad was stationed on Oahu in the late 1960's. As I recall, it took us

about three trips to Punchbowl Crater, National Memorial Cemetery to

find his named inscribed on the walls there.
